Top-Rated Attractions (from TripAdvisor) Eco Dive Barbados Tiami Catamaran Sailing Cruises Silver Moon Charters Cool Runnings Catamaran Cruises Harbour Lights Harrison's Cave Glory Tours Caribbean Cigar Co. St. Nicholas Abbey St Lawrence Gap But I think in my opinion are correct: * St. Lawrence Gap (where clubs, restaurants/bars especially hotels are) * Harrison's Cave * Atlantis Submarines * Accra Beach known as Rockley * Bathsheba * Oistins (a fishing town) - they hold a festival every weekend starting Friday - they do hold an annual fish festival every Easter weekend * Bridgetown, its capital, known for its duty-free shopping (just use passport) * Harbour Lights * Ocean Park * Tiami Catamaran Sailing Cruises
Harrison Cave is very nice. There are also several abandoned plantation houses around the island, great if you're into spooky stuff. The beaches are beautiful, and if you're a foreigner, St. James And St. Michael's are probably haunts you would be interested in. Bridgetown has plenty of shopping and sights for you to see, you should get a sno-cone on the street, stop at the bridge, go on a yacht for a trip, take a trip on the Jolly Roger or a submersible trip on the Atlantis submarine. You should feel free to walk around the island, nobody will trouble you or harm you, Bajans are very interesting people. The entire island is full of history. Oistins, the fish market area usually has parties on Friday nights, if you're into that. Before you leave the airport, you might want to check out the Concorde that is set up outside. It is in an open-hangar outside. Barbados is a marvelous place to visit, and well-worth your time.
You have picked Barbados as an excellent choice, it's a beautiful island. There are a lot to see and do: * Atlantis Adventures: (http://www.atlantisadventures.com/barbados.cfm ) * Ocean Park: (http://www.oceanparkbarbados.com/ ) * Island Safari (http://www.islandsafari.bb/ ) * Adventure Land (4 x 4 tours): (http://www.adventurelandbarbados.com/ ) * Welchman Hall Gully (if you like nature/hiking):(http://www.welchmanhallgullybarbados.com/ ) * Cool Runnings Catamaran Cruises (http://www.coolrunningsbarbados.com/ ) * Scenic Barbados Tours (http://www.scenicbarbadostours.net/ And more! DO NOT miss Bathsheba (east coast) and Bridgetown, its capital known for duty-free shopping (bring passports). If you like historic, do check out this website: http://www.barbados.org/historic.htm If you like surfing, do check out: http://www.zedssurftravel.com/surfingtours.asp and/or http://www.seaubarbados.com/surfing.htm You can go to Rockley Beach known as Accra, Entreprise/Miami and many more. :) Other water activities/sports seen here: http://barbados.org/sports.htm You can also tour Mount Gay Rum, contact the visitors centre before going: Spring Garden Highway, Bridgetown, Barbados Tel: (246) 425-9066 If you are not renting a car and want to travel by local transit, there are route taxis, yellow mini buses and/or blue blue buses (Barbados Transport Board) - it's $1.50 BDS each way) Oh, forgot to mention, if more water activities interest you, there are scuba diving, or even swimming with turtles (http://www.viator.com/tours/Barbados/Best-of-Barbados/d30-3743BEST?AID=10420118PID=2167564 ) For excursions (anything): http://www.accessbarbados.com/barbados_excursions.php DO NOT forget to visit Harrison's Cave: (http://harrisonscave.com/ ) if it's not under construction anymore (not too sure) GRRReat nightlife, too, if you're interested. You can go to St. Lawrence Gap where it has clubs, hotels, shops/Internet cafe especially restaurant/bars! Clubs to name a few: The Ship Inn, Reggae Lounge. http://barbados.org/stlaw.htm , http://barbados.org/discover_entertainment.htm and/or http://www.thegapbarbados.com/ There are others for entertainment such as Harbour Lights (http://www.harbourlightsbarbados.com/ ), The Boatyard (http://www.theboatyard.com/ ) and/or Club Xtreme (http://www.clubxtreme.net/ ) .
I'd say go to St. Lawrence Gap as the others stated in the evening. The Boatyard isn't very exciting on a Sunday from what I remember. The best thing I can recommend is listen to the local radio stations to find out what's happening at night (they often advertise the various nightly events if anything is going on). If you're staying in Ch Church, you can go to Club Extreme(I'm not sure your age, but if you're under 30, you may enjoy it.) You can hang out at the beach bars from late afternoon into evening along the coast. Depending on when you are going there could be special events going on. World Cup Cricket, for instance, is soon approaching, so there may be more nightly events in the coming weeks. Ch Church is very central and there are sports bars nearby as well. The Lucky Horseshoe is open 24 hrs if you need a bite to eat and don't want to travel far. Also feel free to take in a drink at a local rum shop. Often times the locals will tell you their preference (though they may tell you that hanging out at the rum shop is all you need).
